Activities in 2008:
Numerous celebrations and activities took place in 2008 to mark 200 years of Moore’s world-famous Irish Melodies.

These included a competition for young singers at the NCH in January 08, an extensive touring concert schedule, the production of an exhibition mounted at the Royal Irish Academy in summer 2008, a reduced version of which became the travelling exhibition (7 venues over 6 months) and the launch of the exciting new Thomas Moore Hypermedia Archive at a conference held at NUI Galway in November 08.

Recording project completed.
The much-anticipated world-premiere recording project was completed in 2008.  The resulting 6 CD box set was launched in Dublin and features all 124 Moore songs as performed by the Festival singers.  Click to ORDER YOUR COPY!

Thomas Moore Festival at the APAP Conference, New York (9-13 Jan 09)
We attended the Association of Professional Arts Presenters conference in January, thanks to generous funding from Culture Ireland.  This was tremendously helpful in planning the Thomas Moore Festival's tour of the USA in spring 2010.
