Festival Archive: 

The Thomas Moore Festival commenced in 2008 with numerous activities taking place to mark 200 years of Moore’s world-famous Irish Melodies.

• a competition for young singers at the National Concert Hall, Dublin in Jan 08
• an extensive 27-date cross-border concert tour of the Republic and Northern Ireland
• the production of an exhibition mounted at the Royal Irish Academy in summer 2008
• a 6 month travelling exhibition itinerary
• the launch of the exciting new Thomas Moore Hypermedia Archive at a conference held at NUI Galway in November 08.
• the completion of a much-anticipated world premiere recording project of the entire collection of Moore's Irish Melodies
• award winner (Culture and Tourism category) at the Irish Times Living Dublin Awards, Dec 08
• attendance at the Association of Professional Arts Presenters conference in January 09, New York
